Announcing the 2020 Gold Medal Honorees
30 GOLD MEDAL SCHOOLS AND DISTRICTS
2020 has been a year like no other with the shift to distance learning. During this unusually trying time, we have heard countless ways in which schools have continued with remote virtual math learning using Ascend Math. We are so thankful for our Gold Medal schools, what they are doing to support their students and the ways they have shared their distance learning models to help other educators learn best practices. The over 4,400 students in our 31 Gold Medal schools had an average post test gain of 55% this year! Most students gained from 1 to 4 levels in Ascend Math! Each Gold Medal school implements Ascend Math in their own unique way and yet all schools achieved great success in fulfilling their bold goals. Our objective is to offer the students an opportunity to advance in math at their own pace, based on their English language ability. The scope and sequence of the program works perfectly for our situation because it ensures the students truly learn at their pace.
