Helping Special Education Students with Math Deficits Succeed

Online presentations are held every Wednesday at 3:00PM Central Time and Thursday at 10:00 AM Central Time.  Strategies employed at the following schools will be featured in this webinar along with others:

  • Grissom Middle School did not make AYP in the category of special education.  After just 5 months of employing a specific math intervention strategy 80% of special ed students grew 2 or more grade levels.

  • In a six month period, 82.6% of special education students at Ronan Middle School gained one grade level or more.

  • After 6 months, 86% of special ed students at Fort Stockton Middle School passed the TAKS (Texas mandated test) greatly surpassing their ambitious goal of 75%. They went from not making AYP to earning the highest student performance in mathematics of all middle school/junior high campuses in West Texas.

  • You’ll also hear how Dr. Betty Washington, Director of Special Services at Calcasieu Parish Schools conducted a randomized test of Ascend Math as a tier 3 intervention. An amazing 73% of students at risk to fail passed their math course with a grade of C or greater after utilizing Ascend Math.

For a limited time, any professional educator attending one of our webinars will receive Flash Card Math, an online math facts fluency program free for all their students for the entire school year.
